after i got mad at torment i thought i’d mess with this page a bit … though i know a little bit of css, i used my usual method of changing tags and then refreshing to see what happened. the only thing i can’t figure out is how to make the calendar not be so close to the right border. i’m angry at that part. soon i will upload the rest of the old web page. i started uploading images today but apparently movable type only allows me to upload one thing at a time. this is very stupid. am also considering putting my images and things on the uw server so as not to take up so much space chez bill.
yesterday i ran a different direction which smelled different. usually when i get to the bike path i turn left, and i go under the footbridge and under the other bridge and then to the second or third bench along the path, depending on how i feel. yesterday i turned right and went all the way over the autzen footbridge to the bench on the other side. then i realized i had gone too far, and i wouldn’t be able to make it all the way back without walking. i was going to try that route again today, but i didn’t get up until nine and then it was too late. it has been Way Too Hot here. i am boycotting.
i bought a playstation from sho on thursday. this is very exciting.

Yay Playstation!
The calendar doesn’t look close to the right border to me. Maybe you figured it out already?
Too hot??? I would kill to be back in Eugene for spring. Or at least to have Eugene spring weather. We had nice hot weather here in Seattle at the end of the week last week, but now it’s back to jacket weather. No fun.
Yay laurenisms! In fantastic lauren-y storm colors!! =) This Movable Type thing is fascinating…. I wouldn’t mind less buggy comments on my webpage. :) Um, for me, your post is like twice as wide as my screen… is that normal? Yes, Sean is right, the weather here was yicky yesterday. My flower boxes are much happier, though… they got *scorched* this weekend while I was away.
who is sean?
Sorry, you don’t know me. I just ran across your page by chance a couple of months ago. If I recall correctly, I was looking at people who linked to another weblog I liked (Erin @ Yale — great photos) and through a chain of about 4 or 5 links ended up on yours. I added it to my list of reads because you are/were at UO, where I went to school (graduated in ‘99) and I’m always interested in hearing what’s going on back in my old territory. I also noticed that you had a link to Trevor, who lived on my floor in Carson several years ago (I hadn’t really been in touch with him or known what he was up to until I followed the link from your page).
Nothing more than that, really.
Once again, our world is unbelievably too small. I’m the one who linked to Erin @ Yale, because I like her photos.
Also, the layout is way too wide on my screen also, and the text is tiny. And I don’t like that it demands my e-mail address when I comment.
But I like it. =)
thought i posted this already, but i might’ve done it from opera, which is weird with comments. in opera, it fits in the window like it’s supposed to, but in ie, it is way too long. i can’t find where to fix it, but yes, i did fix the calendar problem.
hello sean. you are in seattle? i am going to seattle. and it’s jacket weather here now, too. yay!
katie, i think you can adjust the size of the text on your end too?
i just changed it so email address isn’t required. i think.
good god, sean, why did you live in gardnerville??
(i was born in reno, but i don’t like to talk about it.)
Yes, I live in Seattle now (Belltown, about 4 blocks south of the Space Needle). I lived in Gardnerville through no fault of my own. My parents decided to move there just before I started high school. All in all, it wasn’t that bad. I’m not planning on moving back there, but if I had to choose between Gardnerville and anywhere in Wyoming, Gardnerville would win hands down. It’s all relative.
It is nice to live in a place where you can get something to eat in the middle of the night without going into a smoky casino…
Funny, for some reason I assumed Comment Sean was Superman Sean from Housing, and so looked at his website and liked how I knew where all the pictures were taken. Nice website, Comment Sean!! Yay for Eugenians-turned-Seattlites! And yay for looong comment-conversations with new people. :) It really is a small world, and blogs are making it way smaller.
P.S. Why are you mad at Torment? It is the bestest game ever!!! And there are always internet walk-thrus. =)
Lauren should no longer be mad at Torment for I directed her to the very useful, gamefaqs.com!
Yay! Sean Harding … a Good Nerd!
I applaud your efforts to get FreeBSD running on my generic 486-33. Ha! Those were the days … or something.
