i hate XP: every time i right-click on the taskbar for any reason, i see “lock the taskbar” in the menu and i immediately get it stuck in my head to the tune of “rock the casbah.”

on reflection, this may exist in other versions of windows, but it was never a problem for me until XP, so it’s clearly XP’s fault.
it makes me mad because i do that at school when the computer freezes (= quite often) and it spazzes when i’m trying to right click and close programs, but instead it clicks “lock taskbar” and then it yells at me because i am not the system administrator so i don’t have authority. it does that A LOT.
what does a locked taskbar mean, anyway?
Weird, I have never experienced this.
But the song is really funny!
That reminds me of Eric and my yard-work song.
“Loam if you want to,
Loam around the world!”
Now that really gets stuck in my head once I think of it. Damn! I’ll be singing it all weekend.
ha ha ha ha ha!! “LOCK the task bar! LOCK the task bar!” You crack me up. NERD!!! ;-P
Anyways, the “Lock the taskbar” feature was introduced in Windows XP, so no you’re not in error there. What it does, Marika, is it prevents you from resizing the taskbar or elements on it such as how much space is given to the Quick Launch area and whether the taskbar is one line high (default) or more.
Now who’s the nerd? =)
