The new house makes a lot of funny noises. My new roommate went to Bellingham for a few days just after we moved in, and I freaked myself out while home alone, putting clothes away in the office/Lauren’s room before I figured out that specific spots on the floor creak like voices or ringing phones. Fortunately I am also taking care of a VERY FIERCE dog, who will protect me from creaky pipes and floorboards! He is so fierce that when the neighbor dogs (Bouticca on one side, and Narah on the other, and two very angry dachshunds in the back) bark at him, he whines and runs back inside, even though they are barking because they want to play (except the dachshunds, who want to KILL!).
But I think that he would protect me from the evil pipes if I told him to. I think this because when I leave the house, he looks at me like he will die if I shut the door. I’m too timid and weak to be a dog owner. I don’t want to hurt his feelings! If I had a puppy I would probably end up starving in my house because she would give me that look every time I tried to go to the grocery store, and I would be held a prisoner in my own home by sad puppy eyes.

Hahahaha… this post cracked me up! I totally know what you mean! But I find it easier to leave adult dogs/cats than puppies/kittens because, probably, the puppy or kitten was just chewing on/ruining things 5 minutes before, and so I’m annoyed. Anyway, yes. He sounds soooooooo cute. And VERY FIERCE!
