We were originally planning to have folks out for Thanksgiving. Then G’s parents from Hawaii bailed, and then my sister couldn’t come because it’s her dad’s year for Thanksgiving, and my mom was going to California … we invited Simon, who’s in the States from Belgium, but then we found out we’re going to be dogsitting for pal Skip’s epileptic 2-year-old border collie, who is more static when having a seizure than when not. I tried to tell Simon to come anyway, but didn’t end up getting ahold of him, which is unfortunate, but it ended up being just us, which was lovely. We cooked all day and then met folks for pool & pinball & drinks afterwards.
The benefit of having the most leftovers in the world is that now I don’t have to worry about producing food all weekend, and I can just sit in my room and do an entire term’s worth of homework!
